Sex…just the word for many conjurs up crazy images and for some terrible realities…While I dont know what it does for you to read that word there is a common place we can agree, we were created for it.  From the nervous systems immaculate design to our emotional and hormonal responses to everyday life, there is a fair chance you will agree that we were created for it…

But we have been lied to, and are continually lied to every single day by a culture that doesnt understand the possibility for BEST SEX EVER.  Today most of us believe some short lived experience or an orgasm is all thats really out there…and if we ‘do it’ with someone we are ‘in love with’ then that is the perfect place and the ’safest way’ to not get hurt…

Truth is we are drawn toward sex becuase we were created to do it!!  But God’s design had one principle to it we miss, marriage.  So what do we beleive? We are supposed to have sex (bible even encourages/commands those married to do it!) and why do we act, simple we were wired to…

So much confusion surrounding such a simple thing…more tonight on why we buy the lie…

Best Sex Ever can be yours…

February is the month of Love/Sex.  Somewhere those 2 things get mixed up, our response, lets see what God and Jesus say about sex and love.  This Wed kicks off PURE’s Sex Rehab month of sex.  So heres what were doing and how you can jump in with us and spread the ‘Best Sex Now’ cause.  Every where we turn today we are told that the best sex we can imagine should be done this way or in this place, time, or position (graphic I know but very true).  ‘Best Sex Now’ means we believe that there is aperfect way to experience the most intimate act, emotion, and bond we experience as people…

1. Right Click on the picture below and save it!

2. Upload it and make it your profile pic on all your social media…Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc…

3. Start posting and make sure #bestsexnow is tagged to everything you post, say or do!

4.  Get to PURE on Wed and bring everyone you know and care about!!

V-day is all about love, and roses, and candy and well…Sex right?  Before I go on, its no mystery that most guys hate V-day, and for good reason…it requires extra effort from us in ways typically we arent naturally gifted.  And that makes it tough, its an emotionally charged day that is wrapped up in the idyllic pageantry of red, chocolate, and teddy bears.  So for women there is something naturally endearing about days that celebrate emotion (just look around and see how many people are wearing red today, you’ll see), and there is nothing wrong with that.  But it stirred a thought for me as a guy…1. If i am willing to do something extra special for a girl (which i am not but hypothetically speaking, my sister is my v-day date so were gonna just go have fun), something that takes away from my natural ability or gifting and requires extra effort…am I willing to do that for God?  Do i love Him enough to radically alter my plans to accommodate Him? Or 2. am I like the guy that never does anything with the girlfriend, wife, or fiance that is starving for affection and attention, when it comes to God?  Something to think about.

Bible says that love is just and seeks out good things…think about your how you approach love today before you go anywhere or do anything with your girlfriend, wife, or fiance…sex isnt love, and love isnt sex…love isnt a tingly feeling either, what is it?? before you do anything today read 1Cor 13:1-9,13

‘love does not rejoice in unrighteousness but rejoices with the truth’ 1 Cor 13:6

I have a few sweet places i like to hide and study/read from time to time…usually I will Tweet/Facebook about it.  Last week I was at one of my secret spots and got distracted watching a couple talk.  They were an odd couple, if you know what I mean.  They would talk and carry on, then I started noticing the others around as well.  And then the thought hit me, ‘What are they talking about?’  Not being nosey, just curious…Then I started thinking about the conversations I have…How often is there anything life giving about them? How often is there substance to what I spend my breath on?  I have a few seconds in the spectrum of eternity, what am I wasting my breath on and what is truly a Kingdom investment?

Relationships and just sharing life are more critical than we can imagine and I never want to miss those moments that need to be captured when we share life…but My thought, HOW DO WE MAKE EACH BREATH COUNT?  We want to see World Change and Hope meet every Heart…lets start by using every breath we have as an investment into something much greater than us!

Today take a risk use a breath to invite someone to ‘I <3 Night’ might be the best investment you could ever make in their life…and it only cost you a single breath.

Tonight at PURE will be the culmination of  hundreds of Passionate Christians story of finding HOPE and freedom from their ‘Secrets.’  Literally a declaration of freedom from baggage and shame, wounds and wounding.  2nd Corinthians 5 promises a new person in Christ.  And tonight that is exactly what we will celebrate…

Sunday a ton of us went out to the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica to reach out to the homeless and hurting.  Wandering the park along the boardwalk giving out hamburgers, socks, beanies, and coffee a group of us meet Alexis.  She looked more as if she belonged wandering with us or shopping on 3rd street than homeless in the park.  Her heart was broken, riddled with pain from wounds and ‘Secrets’ too deep to share.  My heart is fractured at the reality that she is no different than you and I.  A beautiful bright smile…and it hit me, a great reminder that each of us is only 2 steps away at any time from being Alexis.  Tears…because of grace and favor I/we dont deserve.

I will share more about Alexis tonight as we believe big for more freedom and celebrate with those that have found it in Jesus and are living it out. Tonight will be a beacon of hope and light piercing darkness, hope you will be there.
